WE ARE PROUD OF OUR TUTORING TEAM
We have many tutors that have taught the Chrysalis course for a number of years and offer a great experience for each student.
All of our tutors have forged successful careers in counselling and psychotherapy whether that be in private practice or employment. All of our counselling tutors are at least accredited members of the National Counselling Society.

Jane initially started with Chrysalis as an Administrator in 2008 up until 2015.
In September 2020 Jane returned to Chrysalis as the Finance Manager.

Lorna Cordwell has taught for Chrysalis since 2006 and has been practising as a therapist since 1987.
She holds an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of London, a Level 7 equivalent Diploma in Hypnosis and Psychotherapy from the National College, and a Master’s Degree in Psychological Research Methods from the University of Hull, specialising in Hypnosis where she studied with Irving Kirsch and Guiliana Mazzoni.
Lorna has other experience of teaching and training both in the UK and abroad and has written courses both for trainees of therapy and for self-development, and has had published two self-help books.
Lorna currently has private practises in Harley Street in London, and in York. She offers integrative therapy to adult and child clients and specialises in Hypnosis.
As well as her therapy experience, Lorna has travelled widely both for business and pleasure, representing international companies involved in the arts.
Lorna is a Fellow member of the National Hypnotherapy Society and accredited by UKCP as a therapist and supervisor. She also holds membership of the British Psychological Society, is a London School of Economics Alumnus, and is a member of the British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis.

Marc’s background has included working with the Cambridgeshire Violence Against Women & Girls project, as Service Manager. He oversaw provision of Therapies for young people who have been exposed to domestic abuse or sexual violence through 1-2-1 specialist Counselling or Group Work.
Marc now runs his own Private Practice, but is also a Clinical Supervisor both for his private practice and for a large Charity in the East of England.
Prior to this, Marc has many years’ experience working directly in the areas of domestic abuse, working with both victims and perpetrators. He has also spent over 20 years working with fathers and mothers, providing parenting programmes, with a particular focus on masculinities and father inclusive practice. Marc designed the parenting programme ‘Dads Parent Coaching’ and extensively worked with men in his previous role of ‘Fathers Engagement Co-ordinator’ in London.
Marc’s work has been recognised by the ‘Fatherhood Institute’ as a national example of best practice in engaging men, and won an, ‘Innovator of Year 2014 Award’ for designing an holistic family approach to domestic abuse.
Marc has provided training on working with men and fathers to organisations and professionals, including Cambridgeshire County Council, Roddens Housing Association, Health Authorities, and has co-delivered LSCB training on safeguarding and working with men.
Marc is professionally qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist and holds additional qualifications; ‘Professional Diploma is Masculinities (NTU)’, ‘Advanced CBT’, ‘Mindfulness Teacher’ and is an accredited parenting trainer and is also trained through ‘RESPECT and ‘AVA’ to work with families and children affected by domestic abuse.
